Endless rounds

Perceptle Unlimited.

Rounds of ten random tests. Each round turns the difficulty up a notch.

What Perceptle Unlimited is

Perceptle Unlimited is the daily game without the wait. Each round deals ten tests at random from all twelve, the same kinds you meet in the daily puzzle: time, color, memory, space, speed and reaction. Finish a round and the next one is ready straight away.

Where the daily Perceptle is one shared puzzle a day, Perceptle Unlimited is yours alone. Nobody else gets your rounds, so there is no daily ranking here, just you against your own best round.

Every round turns the difficulty up

The first round of Perceptle Unlimited starts gently, a little easier than the middle of a daily set. Each new round raises the bar, and within a round the tests climb too. More dots flash for less time, colors sit closer together, arcs get shorter and decoys start to appear in the reaction test.

A good way to use Perceptle Unlimited is as a warm-up and a cool-down: a round before the daily to wake your senses up, and a few more afterwards to see how far up the difficulty you can hold a good score.

Your best round, scored the same way

Every Perceptle Unlimited round is scored exactly like the daily: each test out of 100 by how close you came, ten tests to a total out of 1000, and a title from Fooled to Sharp-Eyed. Your best round total is saved in this browser and shown at the start of each session.

You can share any round as a line of colored squares or as a picture of your score ring. Rounds are random, so a friend will not get the same tests, but the scale is the same, which makes totals easy to compare.

Which tests come up in Perceptle Unlimited

Every Perceptle Unlimited round draws ten of the twelve tests at random, in a random order, so no two rounds look alike. You might open with a color memory test and close with reaction time, or meet the line illusion right after the speed match. Two tests sit out each round, and a different two the next.

Because the lineup changes every round, Perceptle Unlimited is a good way to find your weak spots. If one test keeps pulling your total down, open its practice page from all twelve tests and work on it alone, then come back to Unlimited and see the difference.

Tips for a long Unlimited session

  • Take a short break every few rounds. Timing and reaction tests suffer first when you are tired.
  • Watch the round number. From round three or four the flashes get short enough that looking at the whole board as one picture matters more than ever.
  • Use Lock in deliberately. Nothing is timed after a flash ends, so a second look at your mark costs nothing.
  • Chase your best round, not every round. A rough round is normal at high difficulty; your saved best only goes up.

Unlimited or the daily puzzle?

  • Play the daily Perceptle for the shared puzzle, the ranking against everyone who played and your streak.
  • Play Perceptle Unlimited for as many rounds as you like, at rising difficulty, whenever you want.
  • Play one test on its own when you want to work on a single sense, like reaction time or color memory.

Is my best round saved?

Yes, in this browser. Clearing your site data resets it.

Are Unlimited rounds the same for everyone?

No. Each Perceptle Unlimited round is dealt at random for you. The daily puzzle is the shared one.

Do I have to finish a round?

No. You can leave Perceptle Unlimited at any time and start a fresh round later. Only finished rounds count toward your best round.

Can I play Unlimited on a phone?

Yes. On a phone held upright the board turns to fill the screen, just like in the daily game.

One more round?

Ten fresh tests are ready in Perceptle Unlimited, a notch harder than the last.
