Why Perceptle exists
Perceptle is an independent daily game about perception: how well you judge time, color, space, motion and speed. It takes about three minutes a day and asks nothing of what you know, only of how you see. The idea is simple: a small, fair, daily check on your senses that is fun to play and easy to share.
Every Perceptle test is based on a classic task researchers use to study perception: time reproduction, color working memory, visual working memory, centroid judgment, ensemble averaging, the Müller-Lyer illusion, speed discrimination, mirror symmetry, area estimation, curvature, color discrimination and simple reaction time. The puzzles, scoring and design are our own.

How Perceptle is designed
Perceptle is built to be calm and quick. Each test fits on one board, explains itself in a single line and shows you the true answer the moment you lock in, so you learn something every round. Colors are used only where perception needs them, which is why the rest of the page stays quiet.
Difficulty is tuned so a first try lands somewhere in the middle of the scale and steady practice moves you up. The twelve tests cover different senses on purpose: someone with a sharp eye for color may have an unreliable inner clock, and the daily lineup gives everyone a chance to shine somewhere.
Perceptle works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers, with nothing to install. On a phone held upright the board turns to fill the screen.
Fair for everyone
Puzzles are generated from the date, so everyone gets the same ten tests on the same day. Rankings use scores our server works out from your answers, never scores sent by the page. Perceptle has no accounts and keeps your progress in your browser; the privacy page explains what is sent and why.
